It’s the Monday. I hope everything is going well for you. Here are the three mindset topics to think about this week.
[Wisdom]
Fixed vs Growth Mindset
Growth Mindset:
•Basic abilities are viewed as flexible, and people feel they can be improved over time.
•New challenges excite me, and I see setbacks as opportunities to grow.
•Have more self-esteem, are more resilient, and have better life outcomes.
Fixed Mindset:
•They believe their core characteristics, such as intelligence and talent, are innate and unchangeable.
•Fearing that failure will reveal a lack of skill, people shun challenging undertakings.
The three steps to promoting a mindset shift are as follows:
1. Examine your attitude.
2. Examine your assumptions.
3. Create a “growth” muscle in your body.
Observe your mindset
You can’t start changing a “fixed” mindset unless you realize what it is.
Consider whether you jump to conclusions about core abilities:
Do you tell yourself that you’re not excellent at a certain task and that it’s pointless to try?
Do you believe that certain types of achievement are only available to those who are naturally gifted?
Do you worry that if you give it your all and still fail, you’ll be labeled “no good”?
Examine your assumptions.
If a task is difficult for you, remember that it is an opportunity to learn and develop, not a reflection of your intrinsic worth.
Furthermore, research shows that thinking about a development mindset for a few moments before beginning a task will help you perform better.
Build a “growth” muscle
Rather than looking for opportunities to demonstrate your abilities over and over, search for obstacles that will motivate you to learn and grow.
Take advantage of these chances to develop patience and learn from your failures. A “growth” mindset can become an unconscious response over time.
[A Reasonable Idea]
Even in isolation for several months, and despite the fact that we were living in our homes with no source of income, many people were able to make more during the lockdown. How? They are using the internet to source their business, talent, employment, or hobby. Is your work available on the Internet if you already own a business or have a great pastime that you’d want to share with the world? During the pandemic, many individuals lost their jobs, and many of us have gone bankrupt, while others have become wealthier.
The new society will not go straight to the store to learn more about a product or to buy it; instead, they will conduct an Internet search, read YouTube reviews, and then purchase it online.
If you already have a brick and mortar business, it’s the time to think to sell it on the Internet.
Alternatively, if you are an individual, now is the moment to document, write, or draw your passion and make it available online.
If you don’t think you have time or are too old to do this, think again. Let me remind you that you have a Fixed Mindset on your shoulders.
[A Suggestive Recommendation]
Stop reading this and go read the book if you’re interested in creativity (of any kind), entrepreneurship, or business (of any kind).
Even if you have no interest in creativity, entrepreneurship, or putting yourself out there in any manner, you should read this because it will open up neurological pathways and possibilities that you had no idea existed.
If you’re interested in creativity (of any kind), entrepreneurship, or business (of any kind), you should read Austin Kleon’s book “present your work.”
Even if you have no interest in creativity, entrepreneurship, or putting yourself out there in any manner, you should read this because it will open up neurological pathways and possibilities that you had no idea existed.
Why not share it with your friends, families, colleagues or someone if you find it useful?
